Gujranwala: Federal Minister for Commerce and Trade Pervez Malik has said that the business community is playing a great role in strengthening the economy.
Addressing the inauguration ceremony of ‘Made in Gujranwala’ industrial exhibition on Thursday, the minister said that the business community was making useful contributions to expansion of tax net. “On the directions of prime minister all possible steps have been taken for provision of relief to traders and industrialists in the country,” he said, adding that exhibition was aimed to increasing business activity. Business Centre Chairman Khawaja Zarar Kaleem, president chamber of commerce and industry, Amir Aziz, ex-president Akhlaq Ahmed Butt, vice president Irfan Butt and other office-bearers, parliamentarians, exporters, traders and industrialists also attended the ceremony.
The minister visited various displays and commended the work of emerging entrepreneurs. Meanwhile, Eid Miladun Nabi (PBUH) will be celebrated in Gujranwala today (Friday) with religious enthusiasm. The main procession will be taken out from Shernawala Bagh, which will culminate at Milad Chowk after passing through fixed routes.
